Thank you so much to Jenn for setting this up. I have one that has quite a bit more information if you're interested, but here's what the trip is going to be!
August 1: Houghton, MI to Fargo, ND
466 miles, ~10 hours
August 2: Fargo, ND to Billings, MT
607 miles, ~8.5 hours
August 3: Billings, MT to Missoula, MT
343 miles, ~4.5 hours
**staying with my friend Sarah until the morning of the 5th
August 5: Missoula, MT to Banff, Alberta
420 miles, ~8 hours (crossing into Canada)
August 6: Banff, Alberta to Dawson Creek, British Columbia
504 miles, ~9.5 hours
August 7: Dawson Cree, British Columbia to Watson Lake, Yukon
601 miles, ~11 hours
August 8: Watson Lake, Yukon to Beaver Creek, Yukon
547 miles, ~10 hours
August 9: Beaver Creek, Yukon to Anchorage, Alaska
430 miles, ~8 hours (crossing back into the States)
August 10: Anchorage, Alaska to Homer, Alaska
233 miles, ~5.5 hours
I will have my cell phone on whenever I am in the States, however because of international roaming charges, I will have it on but would prefer no calls/texts while I am in Canada. I should have internet most nights at the hotel where I will be staying, so that will be the best way to get a hold of me.

First Post
So this is the first entry in my official Alaskan blog. I start my trip on August 1st, and will get to Homer on August 10th. Thankfully I now have a place to land (and possibly turn into a more permanent living arrangement), and Jenn has helped me to find all the hotels. I just need to finalize one more hotel reservation, and then I will be all set for the trip (hotel-wise), at least. I've still got packing and organizing and being certified to teach to work on, but that's all in process and being worked on. I'll write more later, with all the details of where I'm going and what I'll be doing when I'm on my way.
